In Proverbs 22:6 we are told, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”  The apostle Peter exhorts Christians, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).  In order to stengthen the faith of our children and to encourage a life of discipleship in the redemptive grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd Midweek School has been organized for children in Grades 3-8.  Through instruction in the Old and New Testaments and luther’s Small Catechism, children will be prepared for 8th Grade Confirmation at Good Shepherd.

Orientation is September 7th at 5:30pm with first day of class on September 14th at 5:30pm

WHO IS MIDWEEK SCHOOL FOR?  Midweek is for all children in Grades 3-8 and meets each Wednesday starting in September and ending the week before Palm Sunday. Classes will run from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  The younger grades will focus on the Bible and God’s plan of salvation revealed in it. The older grades will include a focus upon the teachings of our Lutheran Church from the Catechism.  We urge all parents to take a spiritual leadership role for your child by enrolling them in our Midweek School.  Scroll to the bottom of this page to find our online registration form!

CONFIRMATION CLASS The 7th and 8th Grades meet together for confirmation instruction.   All students meet in the Ministry Activites Center (MAC) on Wednesday evenings from September through March from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.   The 7th and 8th Grade students will focus on the catechism and learning about our Lutheran doctrine.
